ACCROCHAGE
Exhibition until March 15, 2012. At Feast Projects, Hong Kong.
In an artist curated show, FEAST Projects exhibits selected works of seven gallery artists: expressing their perspectives and insights into the human experience. The main themes explored are subjectivity and personal narrative, and individual conflict with the dictates of globalization and mass communication. "The word 'accrochage' in French has a double meaning: hanging and skirmish. The works hanging are also struggling to expose the dilemmas we are confronted with in our contemporary world," states Philippe Koutouzis, Director of FEAST Projects. On view will be works of gallery artists: Feng Shuo, Fensterbank, Liu Wei (b.1965), Marlène Mocquet, Carr Patterson, Tie Ying and Xie Lei.

Soundmachines
A record player that doesn't play sounds but visual patterns instead - Soundmachines by The Product.
"Three units, which are resembling standard record players, translate concentric visual patterns into control signals for further processing in any music software. The rotation of the discs, each holding three tracks, can be synced to a sequencer."

"The impossibility of my sculpture brings me both joy and sadness at the same time. The joy comes from seeing and experiencing the Fantasy of the work but that is coupled with the sadness of the fact that we are destroying all of these beautiful things."

Google Street View - Cinemascapes
curated by Aaron Hobson:
In search of enchanted and remote lands typically only reserved for the eyes of it's inhabitants, but now are captured on camera by the automated and aesthetically-neutered street view cars that linger.
Void of the main character (self-portrait) and an internal view, these images represent the closing chapter of 4 years of cinemascapes with an external view of the world.
